The Brief:
The windows Ms Roberts had in her converted flat in a beautiful period property were rotten, letting in a draft and causing damp. As the flat is in a conservation area she needed to re create them like for like.
In addition to keeping the flat warmer and to comply with building regulations they had to retain the original look and feel but be double glazed.
The Solution:
First we carried out a full survey and liaised with the conservation officer to ensure our design was compliant. Once the conservation officer and Ms Roberts were satisfied, our skilled joiners set about creating the windows to the agreed specifications. When the manufacturing of the double glazed units was completed, we removed the old windows, fitted the new ones and disposed of the rubbish.
The Results:
The windows look fantastic and in keeping with building and, just as importantly, Ms Roberts no longer has to endure damp and drafts in the winter and can open her windows in the summer.
